Corlie Putter
Corlie Putter is an Afrikaans writer who calls the sunny, coastal town of Strand, Western Cape, home.
Corlie had a nine-to-five
in the corporate world but always pursued freelance writing on the side. She’s loved stories and the
freedom of storytelling for as long as she can remember.
After the birth of her first child, she spotted a gap for imaginative and original Afrikaans stories for
children of all ages.
That's when she decided to take pen to paper, and her first children's book was published in 2013.
She is now the author of popular books for both children and adults, including gripping "whodunnit"
mysteries. When she steps away from her keyboard,
Corlie embraces the coastal lifestyle, enjoying surfing and spending time with her family. She figures
if she can write imaginative stories for kids and successfully
solve a fictional murder, finding the perfect wave should be easy. The search for that perfect wave, and
the next great story, continues.
